Maria Alejandra Salazar Rojas: My name is Alejandra Salazar and I am Colombian. I am a lawyer and work for judicial branch of Colombia. For the past four years I have been working as a researcher in a research group called “Eduardo Umaña” which pays tribute to the respect for fundamental rights. Within the group my specialization is migration rights where displacement and human rights protection focuses on displaced groups, political refugees, stateless people, refugees and other minority groups which find themselves vulnerable whilst in the process of exodus. I have written a number of articles which have been published, and this July my first book titled “Estado Constitucional y Diversidad Cultural” (Constitutional State and Cultural Diversity) will be published. Furthermore, I can also tell you that I am the coordinator for a seedbed of researchers in the ‘Universidad Santiago de Cali’, and I can finish by telling you I am now preparing to begin my PhD. in Law.
